Since losing her leg to bone cancer in 2009, Faith Puddlephatt has embraced life with determination, positivity, and a passion for staying active. A patient of New Hope Orthotics & Prosthetics since she was 16, Faith has worked closely
with practitioners Mike and Gabe Galster to ensure her prosthesis perfectly suits her lifestyle.
Faith recalls the freedom her first prosthetic leg gave her: “It was like a runner’s foot on the inside, designed for dance classes. ” Today, her new leg fits so seamlessly that she can wear heels—a skill she’s been practicing as she prepares to
walk down the aisle at her wedding in September.
Despite living in Oklahoma with her fiancé, Faith still makes trips back to Arkansas to receive care. “New Hope has
been amazing. They worked with me to get the perfect fit, and it really makes me feel like I’m killing it!” she shares.
Faith credits the team's personalized care, including support from Becky Howell, New Hope’s Administrative Team
Leader, for making a lasting difference in her life.
With plans to support her fiancé through school and eventually pursue a career as a funeral director, Faith remains
committed to living life to the fullest. “I may not be able to do things like everyone else, but I CAN still do it,” she says,
embodying the resilience that has carried her through the toughest moments. Faith’s journey is a testament to
perseverance, joy, and the importance of quality care.
