Helping improve world health by providing O&P services to underserved populations around the
globe is a lofty goal, but Eqwal Foundation knows it starts with one amputee patient at a time. That’s
why we’re proud of the two successful missions to Thailand that the Eqwal Foundation has supported thus far and excited for new projects.
Eqwal Foundation’s initial humanitarian outreach began in March 2023, when two CPOs from France spent
10 days providing care for amputated individuals, training local healthcare professionals, and
establishing the groundwork for a prosthetic manufacturing workshop. Three clinicians from Eqwal
U.S., Alyssa DeAmicis CPO, Dennis Williams CP, and David Hewitt CPO, made the long trip to Thailand
in November to continue the training and provide prosthetic limbs and care to amputee patients.
Eqwal Foundation is planning more global support in 2024. Ideas for upcoming
projects are welcome.
